Puma score embarrassing own goal with disastrous marketing campaign

Major international sports brand Puma were left red-faced when a marketing campaign back-fired horribly.

Puma invited twitter users to tweet stars such as Radamel Falcao, Marco Reus, Cesc Fabregas and Mario Balotelli.

The replies would then come in the form of a picture with the hashtag #Fastergraph and were addressed to the Twitter usernames of the fans.

However, canny Twitter users soon noticed that if they temporarily changed their Twitter handle it could result in the automated system to be fooled and hilarity ensued.

The trick saw Radamel Falcao tweet that "Liverpool are w**k" and Marco Reus tweet "Cocaine, couldn't do it without you."
