ANDY MURRAY'S season ended in defeat as he lost to Roger Federer in the semi-finals of the ATP World Tour Finals in London.
The US Open champion made a great start at the O2 Arena but Federer clawed his way back into the match and, after taking the first set on a tie-break, raced away with the second to win 7-6 (7/5) 6-2.
Federer now meets world number one Novak Djokovic, who beat Juan Martin Del Potro 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the first semi-final.
