Gregan (22) shattering his personal best in the process.

He recorded a time of 45.63 seconds, taking .28 sec of his previous best time set in Salamanca only two weeks ago.

But the DCU student is still some distance off the Olympic qualifying time.

Meanwhile, Jason Smyth came fourth in his heat of the 100m. He recorded a time of 10.47.
