Scott Evans continued his march in the Badminton men's singles competition in Baku as a third straight win saw him qualify for the last 16 of the European Games with ease.

Evans will take on Blagovest Kisyov of Bulgaria in the knockout stages after continuing his unbeaten run by beating Gregely Krausz of Hungary today.

Sam and Joshua Magee also made it through to the quarter-finals of the doubles event after the brother partnership beat Pavel Florian and Ondrej Kopriva to advance.

Chloe Magee was desperately unlucky not to advance from her group after beating Lianne Tan of Belgium.

She finished third in Group F after finishing behind the Belgian when the count up was done.

She does have the consolation of still being involved in the mixed doubles competition with her brother Sam. A win tomorrow will see them advance from their group for a place in the last eight.
