Olympics: Derval O’Rourke fit for London after back spasm scare
DERVAL O'Rourke's back injury will not stop her representing Ireland in the Olympic Games next month.
The Cork athlete withdrew on the meet in Santry yesterday because of a back spasm.
At the time there were ifears that the Leevale athlete might miss out on her third Olympic Games.
She received immediate physio treatment and then went home with instructions to rest, take an ice bath and take anti-inflammatories, according to Cork’s Evening Echo.
The former world indoor champion reported for more physiotherapy this morning.
