Barnes, a bronze medallist at both the Beijing and London games, and Conlan, who also took bronze in 2012, have taken to Twitter to try and source sponsors to aid with their preparation costs.

Both fighter currently earn €40,000 each in grants from the Irish Sports Council and compete in the semi-professional World Series of Boxing.
Conlan exuded class as he won a European Championship gold in Bulgaria last month.
The situation has clearly angered Beijing silver medallist Kenny Egan.
