O'Donovan brothers advance to the final of the World Cup Regatta in Belgrade
Gary and Paul O'Donovan have advanced to the A final of the lightweight men's double sculls at the World Cup Regatta in Belgrade, Serbia after claiming victory in their semi-final heat on Saturday afternoon.
The O'Donovan's finished ahead of Dutch duo Bart Lukkes and Jort van Gennep and Spanish pair, Patricio Rojas Aznar and Jesus Gonzalez Alvarez to clock in with a winning time of 06:30.70, a second-and-a-half quicker than their Dutch counterparts.
Meanwhile Mark O'Donovan and Shane O'Driscoll will compete in the final of the Lightweight Men's Pair where they will face off against pairs from Russia, Greta Britain and Hungary.
