Midday to stay on for new term

Henry Cecil's five-time Group One winner Midday will stay in training to compete in 2011. The five-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic campaign, winning the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood, the Yorkshire Oaks and Longchamp's Prix Vermeille.

She was narrowly beaten when defending her crown in the Breeders' Cup Filly And Mare Turf but owner Prince Khalid Abdullah has decided that will not be her final racecourse appearance.

Abdullah's racing manager, Teddy Grimthorpe, said: "The Prince has decided to keep her in training, which is great news.

"She's checked out of the Breeders' Cup fine and we look forward to next year."
