Jodie 'The Beast' McCarthy is a Thai boxing champion... and she's only nine years old.
Jodie, from Cork, has been training since she was five years old and has been Thai boxing for one and a half years.
Proud father Dan is a coach in 'Training for Warriors' and believes daughter Jodie will be in the UFC one day.
"She has loved training and joining my gym sessions since she was no age," he said.
"She can lift more than anyone her age and has a better tank than anyone in my classes.
"She loves MMA and she would stay up late to watch her idols Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate and Cyborg.
"I have no doubt in my mind she will be in the UFC one day and I’m 110pc behind her."
Jodie is currently the Irish Junior Champion and also holds the 5 nations belt for the 28kg weight division.
Dan continued: "Jodie won the 5 Nations belt last year, she is the best out of Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales and she has a tournament next weekend for the Intercontinental belt at 30kg weight.
"So she will be competing against ages between 9-10 with weight 30kg and under."
Jodie trains in Jui Jitsju, Thai boxing and MMA and she regularly trains at home, as well as in her classes.
She trains in Samson Martial Arts and her Thai boxing coach is Kieran O’Brien Junior.
Dan added: "If she comes top three next weekend in Sheffield she will qualify for the Worlds in November.
"Thanks to her sponsors Bresnan's Butcher's and the Bodega bar for making the trip to Sheffield possible. She's coming for that belt!"
