This afternoon's 50-42 win for Ireland over Switzerland at the Sports Centre Třebešín in the Czech Republic means they will play in the gold medal match against France tomorrow and have successfully qualified for the European Championships.

Ireland recorded victories over Austria and Italy earlier this week but lost to France yesterday. They will have a chance to gain revenge tomorrow.

The Irish side are ranked 22nd in the world, 13 places behind France but will fancy their chances for victory.
