Ireland's Special Olympics heroes arrive home

Ireland’s 126 athletes, who competed with great distinction at the Special Olympics World Summer Games, arrived back in Dublin this afternoon.

The Irish team brought back a huge haul of 117 medals from Athens. Over 7,000 athletes, from 180 countries, took part.

Among those who arrived back today were over 400 Irish volunteers and supporters.

They were greeted by a large crowd of well wishers.
