Hockey: Harvey fires Irish comeback
Some of Ireland's forgotten women players were to the fore at Jordanstown as the home team staged a breathless comeback to salvage a 3-3 draw against Italy.
After a win and a draw, Darren Smith's charges looked doomed to defeat in the last of the three-match series as they paid dearly for a sluggish start.
They trailed 3-0 at half-time following a series of miserably misplaced passes and that remained the situation going into the final quarter.
Then up stepped a trio of strikers who were all overlooked by Smith for the recent winning campaign at the World League event in Dublin.
First Michelle Harvey found the net at a penalty corner with 10 minutes to go and then Chloe Brown hit the second.
Deirdre Duke then connected impressively with a volley as the ball came to her off the 'keeper's pads to level the game with a couple of minutes to spare.
