Greyhounds: PJ Fahy's Tyrur Enda bids to maintain an unbeaten record

The Tyrur success story can continue at Curraheen Park this evening when PJ Fahy's Tyrur Enda bids to maintain an unbeaten record in the The Pat Hennerty Sales Irish Laurels final.
He is generally quoted a 4/6 favourite and if he makes one of his typically fast starts, then those odds could represent real value.
The layers make it a two-dog race between Tyrur and Tubbertelly Dubh, quoting 14/1 bar.
However, caution is always advised in finals. In the case of Tubbertelly Dubh, he has been a revelation in the classic and has gone from strength to strength for owners Terry McCann and Luke Kilcoyne.
Yet he has drawn the short straw in the final, otherwise known as the inside trap. In the circumstances, one has to side strongly with the brilliant Tyrur Enda to claim the €35,000 prize.
Trained by 22-year-old Conor Fahy, Tyrur Enda is one of the fastest dogs to a bend in training and he can give the Glenamaddy kennel the second leg of the Derby and Laurels double.
The final of the Laurels will be shown live on www.rte.ie between 9.0 and 10.0, while it can also be viewed at each track racing tonight on Inter Track.
There is a tremendous supporting card at Curraheen and stand-out bets are Definate Opinion in the open 575 and Colorful Champ in an open 525.
The heats of the Mannion Builders Supplies National 750 head an interesting Shelbourne Park card this evening and a multiple involving Cooladerry Fizz, Crash Bandit and Slippery Bob could pay dividends.
Also tonight, the semi-finals of the Tennent's Gold Cup will be run at Drumbo Park and Leeview Jet can get the better of Oran Legend in the second of them. Anthony McCloskey's Blazers Black has the class to take the opener.
