Greyhounds: Houlihan flying high

Kerry owner-breeder Chris Houlihan had a night to remember in Limerick on Saturday when he completed a four-timer, including the €4,000 Vetsearch Recharge Open 525 final.
All four winners were the progeny of his stud dog Cashen Legend.
In the Vetsearch final, Calling Spice was the favourite and things appeared to be going so nicely when she led by three lengths into the back, but Cashen Mafuma closed up to lead around the bottom and won by a length in 28.56.
The other Houlihan winners were Cashen Malouda 28.84, Cashen Chris 18.85 and Cashen Viper 28.81.
New Inn trainer Owen McKenna almost matched the Houlihan achievement as he was just denied a four-timer at a high-class Shelbourne meeting.
That near-shave saw Airforce Newyork fail by a short head to Conor Fahy's Tyrur Lucky in 30.22 in an Open 550.
Tibetan Skies had set up the McKenna treble by winning the opening A1 575 in runaway fashion in 31.03, and the baton was taken up by Confident Rankin and Loughteen Blanco, which both displayed awesome early pace as they sewed up their races very early.
Confident Rankin blew his rivals out of the water as he raced to a nine-length margin in 28.51 and Loughteen Blanco went even faster when beating highly rated Cabra Noel by two and a half lengths in 28.44.
