THEY were the only team to beat UL Huskies in 2012 and now Glanmire are desperate to repeat the trick and claim the Superleague National Cup title.
With Neptune in the men's final, the Leeside girls will be hoping to secure the first of a Cork double and coach Andrea Congreaves admitted that the anticipation for the showpiece game is reaching fever pitch.
The coach also warned her players that their win over UL before Christmas will have no bearing on the outcome in Tallaght tonight.
"That match against UL was a certain type of game, but Friday's will be different," she said. "They will have a new game plan after losing to us and we will have a different approach too.
"Of course there are nerves, but preparations are going well. We have an experienced bunch."
The holders have been the best side in Ireland for some time, but coach James Weldon has urged his troops to seize a golden chance to underline their supremacy.
"These opportunities don't come along often. The girls are eager to make it two-in-a-row," he said.
