The cool combination of goalkeeper Stephen O'Keeffe and striker Peter English gave Railway Union a battling point against Leinster league table-toppers Pembroke Wanderers.
Pembroke appeared to have their neighbours well under control as a brace of goals from teenager Kirk Shimmins helped them to a 3-0 lead at Serpentine Avenue.
However, Rob Abbott pulled one back for the visitors shortly before half-time and then O'Keeffe pulled off a hat-trick of perfect saves, thwarting Alan Sothern at successive penalty corners.
Then English gave Sothern a lesson in how to execute at the set-piece, twice sending the ball whistling high past the helmet of David Williamson to salvage the draw.
The result kept Pembroke at the top of the league, while challengers Glenanne, YMCA and Monkstown all muscled their way closer to contention.
The point also underlined that Railway Union are live contenders for a top-five finish as they moved level with Corinthians on points in fifth spot, with a game in hand over their Rathfarnham rivals.
