DO THE DOUBLE

RUGBY UNION:

It's not really a question of whether Declan Kidney's Ireland will beat Scotland in the Six Nations; it's more a case of trying to figure out how much they will win by. I'm expecting a decisive victory this afternoon at Croker and the boys in green are taken to overcome the minus 14-point handicap at even money (Boylesports, Victor Chandler).

HORSE RACING:

If last season's nursery form is anything to go by, Deauville Post should easily dispose of his four rivals in the Lingfield Park Sportingbet Supports Heros Maiden Stakes (5.20). There's a slight worry in that he's never raced on an artificial surface, but he should have enough in the tank to overcome any possible dislike of the Polytrack. The step-up in trip should suit.
