Denis Lynch Career Highs and Lows

Highs

• Becoming only the third Irish winner of the prestigious Grand Prix of Aachen with Lantinus in 2010, following in the footsteps of Eddie Macken and Boomerang in 1978 and Trevor Coyle and Cruising in 1999.

• A member of Ireland's triumphant Nations Cup team at the same event riding the same horse.

• Finishing second in Global Champions Tour Final at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2010, riding All Inclusive NRW.

Lows

• Disqualification just hours before the start of the individual final at the 2008 Olympic Games when Lantinus tested positive for the banned substance, Capsaicin.

• A disappointing opening performance at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010, which jeopardised Irish chances.

• A total of three hypersensitivity disqualifications for his horses during the last 12 months -- at Aachen in July 2011, at Rio de Janeiro in September 2011 and again yesterday.
