The ŠKODA GranFondo Hibernia Cycle takes place in Ennis on Sunday week with participants having the option of two route distances - 100km and for those that like a challenge 150km.

The GranFondo Hibernia routes include the best of what Clare has to offer. Cyclists will cruise along the Wild Atlantic Way, before hitting the scenic Loop Head peninsula and along the beautiful Shannon Estuary waters. The event takes in some of the county's best-known local cycling landmarks and a grandstand finish will be waiting for cyclists in Ennis.

The last of the three events takes place on September 17 in Drogheda and for more information, go to www.celticseries.ie
