Ireland's Matt Bammeier won his own weight in Belgian beer at the Tour of Flanders today.

The four-time national road race champion formed part of the early seven-man breakaway and he sprinted out of this small group to take the intermediate sprint after 34km and with it a lake of Steene Molen beer.

The sprint point came in the town of Sint Eloois Winkel, which is home to the strong Belgian beer

According to his South African team MTN-Qhubeka, Brammeier weighs in at 73kgs, which should be more than enough to help his team relax after the 264km Classic.
