Cricket: Roach hat-trick slays dutch

Kemar Roach claimed a hat-trick to back up fine half-centuries from Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard as West Indies cruised to a 215-run victory over Holland in their World Cup Group B match in Delhi.

Paceman Roach tormented the hapless Holland batsmen to pick up 2-27 runs in 8.3 overs to bundle out Holland for 115 inside 32 overs.

Elsewhere, Zimbabwe notched up their first World Cup win as they inflicted a 175-run defeat on Canada during their Group A clash at Nagpur.

Tatenda Taibu (98) and Craig Ervine (85) helped Zimbabwe survive a torrid start with a 181-run stand and despite Balaji Rao's four wickets, they posted a commanding 298. Canada were then skittled for 123.
