It was the biggest fight of the former world amateur silver medallist's career and he impressed in the bout that was aired on HBO.

The Mexican southpaw was no match for the Ballybofey but managed to stay on his feet throughout, Quigley was the unanimous 100-90 on the scorecards of all three ringside judges after the 10 rounds.

It is only the second time in Quigley's career that he was taken the distance in a fight. The only other time was a four-round fight in Vegas last November.

De La Rosa, who had only been beaten three times in the 26 fight career, made the error of goading Quigley at times by beckoning the Golden Boy Promotions fighter and ended up losing every round to the younger fighter.

You can watch Quigley's fight in full on the video below from the 10:55 mark.
