Jason Quigley, the fighting son of Ballybofey, took his professional boxing record to 10-0 last night with an impressive first round demolition of Freddy Lopez.
Donegal’s Quigley made short work of 11th hour replacement, and repeatedly attacked the midriff with punishing hooks which sent the Mexican to the canvas twice in as many minutes.
Lopez continued to come forward before the Irish middleweight landed the decisive blow to secure the ninth stoppage of his professional career at the Fantasy Spring Resort Casino in Indio, California.
Watch the finish below:
Quigley turned professional in 2014 following a stellar amateur career and fights under Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions.
