Katie Taylor has taken to Twitter to deny reports that she has been training in her father's gym in the build-up to the European Championships next month.
Bray Boxing Club was founded by Pete Taylor in 1995, and that is where his daughter trained as she amassed title after title over an illustrious ten-year period.
Taylor will look to bounce back from a shock Olympic exit at the Europeans in Bulgaria next month, and in an interview with The Sun over the weekend Pete Taylor claimed that Katie has been in his gym regularly as she prepares.
However, the 2012 Olympic Gold medalist has denied that she has been training at Bray Boxing Club, sending a tweet last night where she claimed reports over the weekend were inaccurate.
Katie's dad hasn't been in her corner for the majority of 2016, which has coincided with a dip in her form.
Contrary to what was reported today, I'm not back training in bray boxing club.— Katie Taylor (@KatieTaylor) October 23, 2016
