IT'S ON: Carl Frampton announces mouth-watering rematch with Leo Santa Cruz
Carl Frampton has announced that he has agreed to a rematch with Leo Santa Cruz.
'The Jackal' fought Santa Cruz for the WBA (Super) Featherweight title at the Barclays Centre in New York City in July, and beat the previously undefeated Mexican on points.
The Belfast boxer moved up a weight class to defeat Santa Cruz, and became the first Northern Ireland man to hold titles in two divisions.
Frampton won the fight on a majority decision after 12 thrilling rounds, and the fight was regarded as a candidate for the fight of the year.
He announced the news today on Twitter, but the details of the fight have yet to be revealed.
After the fight in July, the 29 year old said he was interested in a rematch, but that he'd want it to take place in Belfast.
