It's happened again - Katie Taylor declared as 'British' and fans are not one bit happy

It has become a recurring theme. Irish sports star is described as 'British' and fans take to social media to express their disgust.
Katie Taylor is the latest in a long line of Irish heroes to have her nationality changed to that of our near neighbours following confirmation that she has left the amateur ranks to join forces with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom promotions.
The unforgiving social media users rarely subscribe to the notion that everyone makes mistakes and have expressed their anger at the perpetrators of this latest blunder, ESPN.
ESPN Boxing tweeted: Britain's Katie Taylor to make pro debut on Nov. 26. The tweet has since been deleted but not before they received some geography lessons - coupled with a dollop of abuse - from Irish fans who have a strong affinity with golden girl Katie.
At the end of the day, she has proudly won an Olympic gold, five world titles and six European crowns for Ireland.
