Ken Egan edged out Enrico Kolling on a countback as Ireland's Elite boxers shared the spoils with their German counterparts in yesterday's round-robin clash in Chemnitz, Germany.
Michael Conlon, Tyrone McCullagh and Con Sheehan also won in the 4-4 draw.
Egan and Kolling were locked at 7-7 at the end of three rounds, but Neilstown southpaw Egan got the nod on a 23-21 countback at the end of a see-saw light-heavyweight clash.
"Ken boxed very well," said head coach Billy Walsh. "We came out here for quality opposition and we got that.
"We're happy where we are at ahead of the major tournaments we will be taking part in in the near future."
