UCC Demons return to action in the Nivea For Men's SuperLeague with a tough double-header against Neptune and UL Eagles respectively.
Demons return to the reality of league action after securing their place in the National Cup final with a thrilling 88-83 win over Neptune last Sunday.
"We will have to counter Neptune's intensity from the outset again and we will need to limit the amount of ball being fed to Juwann James," said Demons coach Luke D'Alessio.
Neptune are determined to atone for last weekend's disappointment. "We need to have a better start and finish to the game," said coach Pat Price. "Giving up 31 points in the first quarter set the wrong tone and gave our opponents the confidence they needed and that absolutely cannot be the case this time."
The clash with UL Eagles will be every bit as daunting for Demons, who lost 81-73 when the teams last met.
Hoops open the weekend series with a home clash against Dublin rivals DCU Saints, while Moycullen will be looking for a return to winning ways at the expense of Belfast Star.
Hoops, desperate to return to action after sitting out the last two weeks, have a full-strength squad against a DCU Saints outfit still reeling from their defeat last weekend by Ulster Elks.
Moycullen will also be looking to regain that winning feeling after suffering two defeats in succession, but they face a tricky test in the shape of Belfast Star.
Star, who currently occupy second place in the Northern Conference, possess a real scoring threat in the shape of Kevin Ratzsch, who is averaging 31 points per game.
Ulster Elks' win away to DCU Saints last weekend was overshadowed by the Cup drama in Cork and they will be hoping to build on that when they entertain Killester, who are through to the National Cup final for the third year in a row.
