Offaly GAA legend Liam Connor dies aged 58

Published 02/12/2013 | 23:27

Offaly GAA legend Liam Connor has passed away this evening.

O'Connor was full-back in the Offaly team that won the All-Ireland title in 1982, denying Kerry the five-in-a-row.

O'Connor famously set up Seamus Darby for the late goal that broke Kingdom hearts.

The 58-year-old Walsh Island clubman lined out in that final alongside his brother Tomás.
