Caroline Seger and Sweden proved too strong for Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland's women are still without a win or a goal in World Cup qualifying Group 4 after falling to 3-0 defeat to Sweden in Vaxjo on Thursday.

The hosts took the lead in the 12th minute through Therese Sjogra and doubled the advantage thanks to Caroline Seger's 28th-minute effort, before Lina Nilsson wrapped things up with 15 minutes to go.

Northern Ireland, bottom of the pool, have only two points from their six matches and are still yet to get on the scoresheet, while Sweden are second with 15 points from five fixtures, three points behind leaders Scotland and with a game in hand over them.
