Northern Ireland out of top-100

Northern Ireland's goalless draw with Malta has pushed them out of the top-100 FIFA rankings.

Michael O'Neill's side saw their winless run extended to 12 matches following a game of few chances, meaning they dropped four places to lie joint 102nd alongside North Korea.

Ireland rose two places to 39th, Scotland went up five spots to 64th after Gordon Strachan's opening-match win and Wales are now 68th after beating Austria. Meanwhile, England's 2-1 friendly win over Brazil last week earned them a two-place rise to fourth in the latest FIFA rankings.

Roy Hodgson's men enjoyed a memorable night at Wembley and can now look up at just three teams in the list, with Spain remaining the top-ranked side while Germany and Argentina are unmoved in second and third respectively.

The latest rankings, which come on the back of the African Nations Cup, push Nigeria up 22 places to 30th following their tournament win, while runners-up Burkina Faso move from 82nd to 55th. Ivory Coast's 12th place is their best-ever ranking.
