Will Conor McGregor regret having after-party at Las Vegas venue 'Surrender'?
Conor McGregor is getting teased on social media after it was revealed that his UFC 196 post-fight party was taking place at Las Vegas venue 'Surrender'.
The Crumlin native retains his UFC featherweight title but surrendered his 'Mystic Mac' nickname after he was choked out by Nate Diaz in the second round of their welterweight bout at the MGM Grand Arena.
The step up to 170lb appears to have been a costly mistake for McGregor as Diaz was able to withstand the flurry of punches the Dubliner landed in the fight.
McGregor was rocked by a left cross in the second round and when he went to ground towards the end of the round, Diaz used his jiu jitsu skills to pin his opponent with a rear naked choke hold and McGregor was forced to tap out.
An ESPN reporter pointed out the irony of McGregor after party taking place at a venue called 'Surrender' afterwards.
