WATCH - What weight-cut controversy? Conor McGregor in supreme shape at 155lb for UFC 205
Conor McGregor has courted controversy in the past with the severity of his weight cuts for fights but he looks in the shape of his life ahead of tomorrow's bout with Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.
The Notorious has fought at both featherweight and welterweight over the past 12 months.
The Crumlin fighter has appeared listless and gaunt at weigh-ins when dropping to the 145lb requirement for featherweights.
He towers over featherweight opponents at 5ft9" and has a height and reach advantage over Alvarez this weekend.
Eight days out from his fight with Chad Mendes at UFC 189 in July, 2015, McGregor told Chad Sonnen that he weighed 172lb and needed to lose 28lb in eight days.
He looked like this when he made the weight:
Compare that image to how McGregor looks today at Madison Square Garden and the difference is stark.
McGregor weighed in today at 154.4lb, just underneath the lightweight limit of 155lb, and he looks like a completely different fighter.
The 28-year-old has rarely looked in better shape ahead of a fight and will become the first ever dual-weight UFC champion in history if he takes care of Alvarez on Saturday.
Conor McGregor weighed in and the power in the room went out. Next fighters can't weigh in until it's fixed. He's truly a show-stopper.— Mike Bohn (@MikeBohnMMA) November 11, 2016
