It's been a struggle in the past.

But Conor McGregor made 145 pounds with relative ease, ahead of the biggest fight of his life against the formidable Jose Aldo.

The UFC star was in flying form tonight, as he warned Aldo that he was visualising his face so that he could annihilate him.

Love/Hate actor Laurence Kinlan, who was in attendance at the MGM Grand stadium in Las Vegas tonight, described the atmosphere as "insane".

McGregor thanked the Irish UFC supporters tonight ahead of his title unification fight with Aldo.

He promised fans in an electricified stadium that they would not be left disappointed after travelling to support him.

“I’m sick of talking about Jose,” he said.

“I just want to thank the Irish People for coming out, it means a lot.”

“Tomorrow night, I’m going to bring that gold home for Ireland once again.”

As soon as McGregor made his entrance in the MGM, the stadium resounded with chants of ‘Ole Ole’ and a sea of Tricolours greeted the Irish legend.
