Conor McGregor has revealed the secret behind his ability to jump up two weight divisions as he prepares for Saturday night’s welterweight fight against Nate Diaz in Las Vegas.
The Notorious will be an impressive 25lbs heavier (170) when he enters the octagon against Diaz than he was when he beat Jose Aldo last December at 145lbs.
McGregor’s current impressive physique has got the paranoid Diaz camp speculating about steroid use but in the first episode of Embedded, the Dubliner had given us an insight into his insane training regime and diet.
“I am on weight, I have had two breakfasts and I feel really good,” says McGregor. “ I enjoy moving. It’s nice when you put food in your body and start moving.
“It’s nine days until the fight and we just trained for four-and-a-half hours straight there and I am still full of energy. I was debating what next? That’s a good thing,” added McGregor as he tucked into a sizeable steak, rice and veg.
“I am following this new nutrition diet. I don’t have to worry about weight, I don’t have to worry about nothing, just keep the body loose, keep the body sharp and go in and put this man away.”
