RTÉ have partnered up again with the makers of the hugely successful ‘Notorious’ series for another fly-on-the-wall documentary about grassroots MMA in Ireland to be aired this week.
Entitled ‘The Fighting Irish,’ the one off programme will be broadcast on RTÉ2 this Thursday and is to feature some of the country’s best known fighters and coaches as well a number of less prominent faces.
Of course, Conor McGregor is set to make an appearance, as is his SBG Ireland colleagues Ais Daily, Paddy Holohan and the recently retired Cathal Pendred.
So too will their coach John Kavanagh and a number of his rising charges such as Dylan Tuke and Frans Mlambo, who are shown as they prepare to fight at the 3Arena for the BAMMA promotion’s recent visit to Dublin.
UFC flyweight Neil Seery and his Team Ryano MMA stable mate John Redmond are other contributors to a show that promises to reveal in spades the blood, sweat and tears aspect of the rapidly-growing sport.
