Ronda Rousey is set to return to the octagon when she challenges Amanda Nunes for the bantamweight title at UFC 207 on December 30.
The 29-year-old hasn’t fought since she lost that same belt after her shock knockout defeat to Holly Holm in November 2015.
UFC 207 will take place at T-Mobile Arena in La Vegas on December 30, with Rousey v Nunes as the main event.
Dana White confirmed the news during a radio appearance on The Herd.
“The thing that everybody has been waiting for for a good year, Ronda Rousey is back,” he confirmed.
“She will fight Dec. 30 for the title."
Rousey managed to retain the bantamweight title six times as champion, but the belt has continuously changed hands since, with no champion able to successfully defend it.
Miesha Tata defeated Holm for the belt at UFC 196, before Nunes claimed the championship during the main event at UFC 200.
Rousey is back in training after a successful knee operation, and will be determined to reclaim her title in December.
