The 28-year-old Dubliner, who was defeated at UFC 189 in a split decision in July, posted a picture on his Facebook page appealing for help after his pet went missing.

"My dog went missing today. Last seen on Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9 area. If anyone sees him could they please contact me," he wrote.

"Please share, thank you."

There has been a positive response to the post, but as of yet, no sign of the missing pet.

Pendred made a winning start to his UFC career when he defeated Mike King in July last year before claiming victories over Gasan Umalatov, Sean Spencer and Augusto Montano before losing his unbeaten record to John Howard in Las Vegas.
