Irish fan tells how he blagged way into Conor McGregor's celebration pool party
A cheeky Conor McGregor fan has told how he blagged his way into the new featherweight interim title champion's celebration party in Las Vegas.
Cork man Brian Lenihan posted pictures of himself and pals at the pool party in the exclusive Foxtail Hotel in Vegas last Sunday as McGregor celebrated his win over Chad Mendes.
"I was surprised myself when I got as near to him as I did," Lenihan said on Red FM.
"We were talking to the security guards, just getting friendly, trying to find a way in.
"We were talking for 10 minutes and then just walked straight in. We didn't get stopped, no money asked for, just walked straight in, stamp on the hand and all."
Brian, his brother and pals enjoyed the celebrations with some of McGregor's closest friends and even got close to the private tent where the Notorious was parting.
"I got chatting to a guy in the VIP area, near Conor's tent," said Lenihan.
And Lenihan wasn't the only Irish fan who got to party with McGregor.
Cork woman Grace Kavanagh also found herself celebrating alongside McGregor, despite not having an invite to the event.
"It wasn't hard to get into the pool party at all," Kavanagh told the Irish Examiner. "It was empty enough."
