'I'm going back to sleep to dream of that left hand' - World of sport and MMA heaps praise on Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor told the world he was here to take over. He delivered on that promise tonight.
The 28-year-old Irishman made the reigning lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez look very basic with a command performance that ended four minutes into the second round of their Main Event contest at Madison Square Garden.
He scored four knockdowns with the precision and accuracy of his left hand just too much for the Philadelphia brawler to handle.
After an amazing night of action, McGregor delivered the performance of the night and social media purred afterwards.
MMA stars and athletes from other codes lined up to praise the Crumlin native.
