Dana White has given a big hint as to who Conor McGregor will face at featherweight next
Featherweight contenders are lining up for a shot at UFC champion Conor McGregor but his next opponent in the division could be a very familiar foe.
The Notorious steps up to lightweight next month when he faces Rafael Dos Anjos at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas as he bids to become the first dual-weight champ in the promotion's history.
The 27-year-old has also spoken of the possibility of stepping up to welterweight later this year and making an attempt to hold three belts simultaneously.
While McGregor is on the way up, in terms of weight divisions, his foes are queueing up for a shot at his featherweight crown.
Frankie Edgar has become the number one contender in many peoples eyes with his first round TKO of Chad Mendes but speaking to ESPN Brazil, Dana White appears to be heading in another direction.
"I love Jose (Aldo). I'll call him today (Wednesday) and we'll talk to decide who's next for him," said White.
Asked if the conversation would be to set a new fight for the belt, White was emphatic. "Yes," he replied.
