Conor McGregor clarifies rumours he broke his foot against Nate Diaz
He left the T-Mobile Arena with a broad smile and hobbling on crutches but Conor McGregor has reassured fans that he did not break his foot in his epic victory over Nate Diaz at UFC 202.
There were immediate fears after the war of attrition that McGregor had done serious damage to himself as he stumbled from the cage in the T-Mobile Arena. Initial concerns that he had again suffered cruciate ligament damage gave way to fears that he had broken his foot. McGregor eased those concerns and revealed it was instead deep damage to his shin.
"My shin. I kicked his knee about 40 times. It's hurting me. That's it, just my shin. Everything else is good," said the victorious Irishman after the gruelling contest.
McGregor was forced to go straight to hospital before he joined up with the rest of his team for the after party in the Wynne Hotel in Sin City.

Respected MMA journalist, Ariel Helwani, confirmed that McGregor was given the all clear after his hospital visit.
"Conor McGregor is leaving the hospital. No serious issues. He's cleared. On his way to his after party at the Wynn," Helwani tweeted.
