Conor McGregor better watch out - Nate Diaz has been training with Jean-Claude Van Damme

Nate Diaz might not have a fight scheduled for the immediate future, but that didn’t stop him from taking some pointers off one of Hollywood’s most beloved action stars.
Like Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz has said that the cancellation of their bout at UFC 200 will in no way temper his training regime.
So, with that in mind, he and his brother Nick, also a UFC fighter, decided to extract a little sage wisdom from none other than the ‘Muscles from Brussels’, Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Indeed it’s not the first time that the MMA elite have mixed with those from the dramatic arts. Long-time middleweight champion Anderson Silva often walked to octagon alongside Steven Segal, while McGregor once sparred with the 'Mountain' from Game of Thrones.
Despite the UFC offering to find Diaz another opponent after they pulled McGregor from the July 9 event for refusing to fulfil media obligations, the Californian has insisted that he will be on holiday at the time unless the Crumlin man is welcomed back into the fray.
Diaz is no fool; the pay cheque he received after submitting McGregor in the second round of their contest at UFC 196 was by far the biggest of his career, and he’s well aware that only the SBG Ireland export can guarantee a similar windfall.
