Conor McGregor and Bono rub shoulders at Drake concert

It’s somewhat odd that two of Ireland’s most recognisable faces would first rub shoulders in Los Angeles, but that was precisely the case as Conor McGregor and Bono met while attending a Drake concert over the weekend.
Such is his transcendent star power, Conor McGregor has spent the last three years hobnobbing with everyone from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mike Tyson, Katy Perry, ‘The Mountain’ from Game of Thrones, Rhianna, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Jenifer Lopez.
Still stateside, basking in the obscenely profitable glory of defeating Nate Diaz in their rematch at UFC 202, McGregor was at the Staples Centre to attend a showcase from Canadian rapper Drake.
While there, he and the U2 frontman finally came face-to-face, as McGregor also renewed acquaintances with Katy Perry, while meeting Drake and legendary music producer Jimmy Lovine. He even arm-wrestled fashion blogger Trevor McFedries.
Not bad for an athlete in a niche sport, who was still a complete unknown in 2013. The UFC featherweight champion is in a league of his own when it comes to his contemporaries.
