Big-hearted Conor McGregor is donating €50k to help the homeless in Ireland

Conor McGregor is in Dublin for two nights next week and the big-hearted Irishman his donating all his appearance fee to charity.
Following on from McGregor’s announcement of The Takeover Q&A Powered by Reebok, in association with Independent.ie, in Dublin’s Wright Venue, the MMA star has stated that he will be donating €50,000 from these events to help boost resources of those who are fighting the homeless crisis in Ireland.
“I put time into researching both the Simon Community and Focus Ireland charities. The work of both these organizations is unparalleled,” said McGregor.
“€25,000 will go to Simon Community homeless charity which will will fund the mobile health clinic for a full year so the people in need can get the treatment they need, when they need it.
“The other €25,000 I will donate to Focus Ireland which will go towards the Family Services Division which helps family's in crisis move on from homelessness.”
McGregor will also be joined next week by his SBG team-mates Gunnar Nelson, Cathal Pendred, Artem Lobov and coach John Kavanagh.
It will be McGregor’s first public appearance in his native Dublin since he beat Chad Mendes to win the interim featherweight belt in Las Vegas back in July.
The Takeover Q&A: Powered by Reebok, in association Independent.ie and the Wright Venue, is guaranteed to sell out fast with 1,800 tickets available for each night.
The event will consist of a panel discussion moderated Hector in addition to fan questions from the audience directed at their favourite sporting stars. This is a ticket only event and there will be a limited number of VIP tickets available, giving fans the chance to meet the SBG team.
