Irish international lock Mike McCarthy has been named in Matt O'Connor's starting XV for tomorrow's Rabodirect Pro12 clash with the Ospreys at the RDS.

Flying winger Luke Fitzgerald has shaken off a groin strain and will start on the left wing with Brendan Macken continuing to fill the void left at outside centre by the injured Fergus McFadden.

Up front, Shane Jennings again leads the side and the forwards are boosted by the inclusion of wing-forward Kevin McLaughlin and hooker Richardt Strauss this weekend in an all-Ireland qualified pack.

Mike Ross also comes into the starting lineup with all eyes on Jimmy Gopperth to see whether he will repeat his fine performance from last week's where he scored 22 points in a stellar performance.

Ian Madigan comes onto the replacement bench and is expected to see game time.

Leinster team to play the Ospreys: (15-9) Dave Kearney, Darragh Fanning, Brendan Macken, Gordon D'Arcy, Luke Fitzgerald, Jimmy Gopperth,Eoin Reddan; (1-8) Jack McGrath, Richardt Strauss, Mike Ross, Devin Toner, Mike McCarthy, Kevin McLaughlin, Shane Jennings (C), Jordi Murphy.

REPLACEMENTS:(16-23) Sean Cronin, Jack O'Connell, Martin Moore, Tom Denton, Rhys Ruddock, Isaac Boss, Ian Madigan, Darren Hudson.
