Conlan delivered on his promise to be the country's first Irish male world title holder in October, fashioning a unanimous 3-0 win over his 20-year-old Uzbek opponent Murodjon Akhmadaliev to take the bantamweight crown.

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill pipped his namesake Martin to scoop the Manager of the Year award after guiding the North to their first-ever European Championships.

There was also joy for Dundalk as Stephen Kenny's men were crowned team of the year after a season that saw the Lilywhites win a League and Cup double.
