McGregor admits that he is 'certainly' interested in Nate Diaz rematch
It seems that avenging his first UFC loss is definitely on Conor McGregor's mind as the fighter admitted that he's considering a rematch with Nate Diaz.
The American submitted McGregor in dramatic fashion at UFC 196 two weekends ago, and there has been a lot of speculation as to who the Dubliner will fight next.
The surprise loss was fought at 170 pounds, while McGregor is still the champion at 145 and many feel he will defend his title in his next bout, against either contender Frankie Edgar or in a rematch with former title holder Jose Aldo.
However, when questioned about his next move by TMZ Sports, McGregor admitted that gaining a measure of revenge against Diaz is something that he would consider.
"I think I'd like to see that, yeah," McGregor said in response to a question about a rematch.
"It's one that interests me most certainly. When I look at the fight, I was winning the fight. I won the first round and a half, I feel. I'd love to get that one back."
Whoever he decides to step into the Octagon against next, it is sure to be a cracking fight, but also one that McGregor has to win to maintain the momentum he has built in the UFC over the last number of years.
