Man City fans vent fury on twitter as ticket for West Ham game goes up on eBay for £3k

Published 08/05/2014 | 14:18

One Manchester City fan has been on the receiving end of a tirade of abuse by attempting to sell his ticket for Sunday's title decider with West Ham at the Etihad for £3,000.

With Manchester City on the cusp of winning a second title in three years and need only a point from their game with the Hammers at the weekend to claim the title.

The listing, which said the buyer was based in Dukinfield, is no-longer available on eBay and it is not known if the ticket was sold or withdrawn from sale.

According to FA and club rules, season tickets are not transferable with the club able to reject anyone who takes up the seat.

And there was a furious reaction on Twitter from fans who were stunned that any fan would miss out on the chance to watch the team’s title-decider.
