Longford captain Martin Coyle lifts the Lory Meagher Cup

Longford claimed their second ever Lory Meagher Cup title with a 3-18 to 3-16 win over Fermanagh at Croke Park.

A brace Declan McGarry goals gave the Ulster side a fine start, before Joe O’Brien responded for Lonford goal.

The Ernesiders led narrowly by 2-08 to 1-10 at the interval, but O’Brien grabbed a second goal, and Eoin O’Donnellan added a third Longford goal

McGarry completed his hat-trick, but O' Donnellan’s 1-09 haul helped the Leinster men hold out.
